Robert R. Johnson, Ph.D. comes to the Customer Manufacturing Group from careers in both marketing management and academics. He has been a product manager in the medical services field for Bristol-Myers and a consumer goods brand manager for Dial Corporation. Bob has also held marketing and general management positions in the software, medical, consulting, and consumer goods industries and has previous experience as a sales manager for medical professional services and marketing research manager for packaged goods.
Bob has extensive prior experience in marketing education as a tenure-track professor at the Tuck School at Dartmouth College, the College of William & Mary, and Bentley College. His executive teaching includes courses in marketing strategy and market segmentation for IBM. He currently conducts an ongoing program for marketing and sales executives for the Massachusetts Software and Internet Council. He has written articles for scholarly journals regarding consumer shopping behavior, new product strategy, and modeling market response. He has given presentations at many national conferences and presented his work at the leading schools of business.
Bob holds a BBA degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
