What Are Accelerator Groups? Results Right Now Training
|
Accelerator Groups are "education in action" groups uniquely designed to teach you a skill you need by actually doing it.
The problem with many training programs is that the learning may not stick. With Accelerator Groups you will actually
learn the skill by doing it with your business. Not a case study … your business.
Accelerator Groups are precisely designed so that you take action, get real-time feedback from the expert leader and your
fellow learners, execute and improve. Accelerator Groups are not about learning the business theory, they're about
taking accelerated action to make things happen. The format for these groups is tele-conference based, so you will not need to
travel to attend.
What is the Expected Outcome?
The outcome of all Accelerator Groups is action. While traditional training courses provide information, Accelerator Groups
produce action. You will learn to use information to solve problems you face in your business, doing your job. That is,
you will do, on behalf of your business, the skill you are learning. To be a member of an Accelerator Group you must
make a personal commitment to doing the assignments, so please be sure the Group(s) you apply for is focused on a skill you
can commit to do.
How Long Do They Last?
Depending on the topic, Accelerator Groups last about three months. Sessions are approximately 90 minutes in length and
occur from weekly to monthly depending on the Group's topic.
How Are They Different From A Workshop or a Tele-seminar?
Generally workshops and tele-seminars are one time events. Further, they are designed around the learning paradigm of gaining information, rather than the Accelerator Group paradigm of implementing what you learn and getting actual results.
One of the "known facts" about workshops and tele-seminars is that the learning erodes quickly and much of what is "learned" is not implemented. Companies will often attempt to solve this problem by contracting with a training company to do a series of classes over time. This works fine if there is a large group of people in your company who want or need to learn the same thing. But for many companies this is not the case.
Accelerator Groups are designed to teach you by having you use what you learn in your job between class sessions. In fact, if you cannot use what the Accelerator Group is set up to teach, you should not apply for enrollment in that Group.
Who Participates?
Once you find an Accelerator Group topic that appeals to you and your business situation, you can apply for participation
in the Group. (To learn more about the application process, select a Group of interest from the list in the left column near the top of the page.) There are three requirements to be accepted to the Group:
- A personal agreement to do the work, participate, and provide feedback to other Group members.
- You do not compete with any other already accepted Group member. (If this is the case you will be placed on a priority list for the next available Group.)
You pay for your participation as agreed.
Each Accelerator Group consists of 8-12 participants. Members of the Group not only take action on behalf of their
own company, they critique and provide feedback to the other members of the Group on the actions they take.
Who Leads The Group?
Each Group is lead by a content and execution expert from Customer Manufacturing Group. Our experts have real world business experience doing what we are helping you learn to do. In addition, several of our experts teach at major universities in the graduate business programs, so we help you take proven business ideas and combine them with leading edge thinking to get the accelerated results you need, want, and demand.
What Do They Cost?
The investment for participation in an Accelerator Group depends on the topic. The current range is $700 to $1,500. The only other expenses are reading materials and long-distance charges (if any) for the telephone-based sessions.
Is There a Guarantee?
Yes, but it does come with conditions. These Groups and the sessions are designed for people who want to take action. Each session includes assignments and homework. We understand you also have a job, but much of what you are going to learn and do in the Accelerator Group should be part of your job anyway. If you complete the assignments and do your homework, and don't feel the program provided value, we'll refund any portion or all of your money.
What Accelerator Groups Are Scheduled?
The current Accelerator Group topics are listed in the left-hand column.

How Do I Apply?
To apply for participation in an Accelerator Group, you must complete an application. Acceptance of qualified applicants is on a first to apply basis. As we cannot allow competitors in a Group, if we cannot accommodate a qualified applicant in the first upcoming session, they will be placed at the top of the list for the next session start.
If you have a need for a topic not currently listed, you can call us or send an e-mail to info@customermfg.com
