Marketing/Sales Process Improvement

Improve Results Through Process Management

Business process improvement methods have been successfully applied to all aspects of business, except to marketing and sales. If you are ready to focus on improving your marketing/sales process rather than just trying new tactics, or deploying new training, this Accelerator Group will teach you how to execute a successful business process improvement project.

Who Is This Group For?
This Accelerator Group is designed for anyone in your organization who is given the responsibility to improve a marketing or sales process. This can be as complex as a new product introduction process or as straightforward as the advertisement approval process. Anyone who is responsible for any process within Marketing, Sales or Customer Service will gain value from this Group.

What Is This Group Going To Do/Learn?
All of the participants in this Group are going to go through a complete business process improvement with a real process within their company. By the end of this session you will have learned to apply business process improvement methods including being introduced to the 7 Tools of Process Improvement.

Apply to participate in this Accelerator Group.

This Group has 9 sessions over 13 weeks.

There is advance preparation prior to Session 1.

Outline
Session 1: Introduction to Business Process Improvement
In this session we will discuss the concept of business process improvement and the key issues you face in implementing any business process improvement initiative. Each participant will also briefly describe the process they will be working to improve during this Accelerator Group.

Session 2: Business Process Mapping (Part 1)
Before you can improve any process you must have an accurate picture (map) of the process. In this session you will be introduced to the concept of a business process map and will learn the basics of creating the map.

Session 3: Business Process Mapping (Part 2)
In this second session on creating a process map, we will review your first pass process maps and discuss the missing pieces and how to finish the map so that it accurately reflects the process of interest.

Session 4: The Seven Tools (Part 1)
The seven tools are fundamental to business process improvement. We will review 3 of them in this session and you will select at least one to use before the next session.

Session 5: The Seven Tools (Part 2)
We will review the remaining tools and again, you will select one to use prior to the next session.

Session 6: Improving Your Process
Based on what you learned from your use of the seven tools, it is now time to consider how to improve your process.

Session 7: Monitoring The Process
Once you have created an improved process it must be monitored so that it can be managed for continuous improvement. We will discuss and identify the appropriate monitoring points for your process.

Session 8: Advanced Tools
We will discuss so-called advanced process improvement tools including Lean Thinking and 6-Sigma and understand where and when they might be appropriate to use for your process improvement initiatives.

Session 9: Review
In this last session we will review where you are in your process improvement initiative. What is your plan for either completion or selection of the next process to improve. What did you learn and what are your next steps on your business process improvement journey.
